For many people monsoon season is a blessing, the first rain shower is considered to be memorable among children. Farmers eagerly wait for the rains to be showered and begin sowing. The breath of fresh air, the smell of mud and the droplets of water make the atmosphere an amazing combination for monsoon. Monsoon brings new hopes and life to the living things around us. Although monsoon is one of the dreamiest seasons, we need to take some precautions.
WAYS TO PREVENT FROM MONSOON THIS SEASON:
1. PREPARE RAIN GEAR
2. TAKE A WARM SHOWER AFTER GETTING DRENCHED
3. WATCH OUT FOR STAGNANT WATER
4. DRINK OR USE BOILED WATER
5. ENSURE YOUR SURRONDINGS ARE HYGENIC
6. AVOID STREET FOOD/ PRE-CUT FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
We all are aware of different diseases that can be harmful to us during this season. To stay healthy, we must follow the preventive measures mentioned above. It is very significant to carry proper rain wears like raincoats, umbrellas, windcheaters during this season. These rain wears not only protect you from the rain but also from the diseases caused by it. If at all you forget your umbrella in hurry, come home and immediately take a warm shower if you are drenched with rainwater. Rainwater is acidic in nature and harmful for our skin.
Stagnant water is another issue during monsoons, and we should take immediate action against it. Stagnant water around your house can be dangerous and harmful as the mosquitoes will increase and diseases like cholera, dengue, etc may occur. Drinking boiled water is a must during rainy season so that we can avoid water borne diseases. Clean your house with disinfectants like Dettol, Phenyl, etc. Street foods like Pani Puri and spicy foods with sauces can cause stomach infection and fruits like mangoes and watermelons should be avoided. Pre-cut fruits and vegetables are also not a good idea as they can also be harmful.
